SCOTUS Abortion Decision
CSW 07-13
The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) upheld a lower court's decision banning partial birth abortions. Choice advocates claim it's the beginning of the end for Roe v Wade, the controversial law allowing women to have abortions at will. However, it was Justice Kennedy, considered a liberal, whose vote gave the decision a 5-4 majority.
The Vote: Justices Roberts, Alito, Thomas, Scalia and Kennedy for;
Justices Ginsburg, Stevens, Souter and Breyer were the dissenters.
We applaud the decision. There is no place for partial birth abortions, period!
