Spitzer gives up. Hillary flips, errr flops, errr flips
N.Y. governor Eliot Spitzer (D) (STUP winner) has acquiesced to the people and has withdrawn his proposal to issue drivers licenses to illegal aliens. Hillary Clinton, who was incapable of giving an honest, clear-cut answer as being a supporter or an adversary of the plan, now says she is against it. Funny how that happened after the idea was taken off the table in response to the peoples' condemnation of the plan. Does this qualify as a JK flip flop? You bet it does, one that would make John Kerry very, very proud.
P.S. Barack Hussein Obama (D-IL) is absolutely FOR issuing licenses to illegals even after Spitzer's plan was withdrawn.
Are either of them, Clinton or Obama, presidential? We think not!!
The STUP File Follow-up
Remember former STUP winner Georgia Rep. Cynthia McKinney (06-14, 06-31)? Thank goodness she's leaving Georgia. California is the deserving recipient and rumor has it she just might run for the U.S. presidency under the "Green Party" banner. Stop laughing, we are serious!
There is also a twenty mile long piece of highway from Atlanta to the suburb of Stone Mountain called "The Cynthia McKinney Parkway." There is a move underway to have Ms. McKinney's name replaced with the road's original name of "Memorial Drive." We've been to Stone Mountain and couldn't agree more. The drive is too beautiful to be called anything associated with Cynthia McKinney.
Muslim, Muslim, where are you?
Muslim mapping in L.A. cancelled.
Attempting to pre-empt violence (terrorism), the Los Angeles police department had a plan whereby they would map the locations of the city's radical Muslim population and keep an eye on any troublemakers. Well, that idea went over like flatulence in a mosque.
According to Salam Al-Marayati, executive director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, "Muslim Americans were very disturbed and concerned about the ramifications of the plan and having their privacy invaded."
Gee, cry us a river. The safety and security of America come first, right? Well, after Muslim groups and civil libertarians protested and said to hell with the security of America in favor of their privacy, the LAPD dropped the plan. Critics contended the mapping was profiling and religious persecution. Get out of Dodge. It's religious persecution when we can't use "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Of course, we would be remiss if we failed to mention the ACLU connection. The executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California, Ramona Ripston, said the reversal "shows what community outrage can do. . . . We are going to be watchful that they don't try again to bring this mapping plan forward with another name."
Ooooh, she is so scary! Maybe the mapping plan name should be "Securing the Safety of America Plan." Nah! They would still protest!
The Muslims didn't want it so the whole darn plan was scrapped. Once again, the minority ruled with the help of the ACLU!!!! What a dangerous organization. What a dangerous direction we are taking.
The Truth Hurts!!
Some people, we don't know exactly who, are saying Tom Tancredo's (R-CO) latest political ad is over the top, scare tactic politics. CSW thinks the ad is right on!! Click on the video link to review.
YouTube, the bastion of ludicrous videos, has given the short ad you just saw a rating of "inappropriate for some users." They show videos of teens beating the crap out of each other, drunken teen girls in their undies but, an ad about the danger of our wide open borders is deemed "inappropriate for some users." Yes, ladies and gentlemen, hypocrisy is alive and well!!
Ho Ho Ho is a No No No
In a quintessential example of political correctness, Australia of all places is asking Santa to refrain from bellowing his traditional show of joyfulness "Ho, Ho, Ho." Those opposed claim it is degrading to women and scary to kids. Santas all across Sydney are rebelling against this ridiculous PC rule.
Why is Ho, Ho, Ho degrading to women? You must have had your head up your fireplace if you have to ask that question. During the Imus fiasco we joked about this happening and sho nuff it has. Thanks to a particular American subculture, Santa is being censored. Can America be far behind with a similar stupid argument?
Will the maker of Hostess Ho Ho's be forced to rename its favorite snack?
