And the people say .
From the 'Lest We Forget' File
Do the following names sound familiar: Ahmed, Mohamed, Didmar, Omar, Mahmoud and Marwan? No? How about Ahmed Shqeirat, Mohamed Ibrahim, Didmar Faja, Omar Shahin, Mahmoud Sulaiman and Marwan Sadeddin? Does the tag 'flying imams of Minnesota' ring a bell? These are the imams who brought a civil rights suit against the passengers on a flight from Minnesota to Arizona. Go here to refresh your recollection STUP!
In Minneapolis, U.S. District Judge Ann Montgomery ruled that indeed there may have been a violation of the imams civil rights.
Frederick Goetz, one of the imams' attorneys, said, "This has always been a straightforward civil rights case. You had six individuals ... doing absolutely nothing wrong. They prayed in the airport and got arrested. That's unconstitutional, and they deserve redress."
Goetz further offered, "They'll have their day in court on certainly the most significant issues," he said. "You don't arrest people because of their faith. You don't arrest people because of their national origin. That's just fundamentally wrong."
CSW will weigh in on Ms. Montgomery's decision. It stinks!!! Homeland Security has told us to be vigilant. TSA says the same thing. Then, when strange behavior by Arab passengers is observed and reported to authorities, those reporting it are smacked with a lawsuit.
At least congress got off their lazy butts and passed a law (the King amendment) protecting passengers from litigation for reporting strange occurrences.
Here is a video of the news coverage of the imams. Video of incident
Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your attention and have a good evening.
The bar is open.
How do you see it?
