And the people say…………….

A Dearth of Candidates

From a long list of presidential hopefuls to a list of but a few, this election season has been less than spectacular. The Republicans have John McCain and John McCain to choose from. Hardly a stellar choice. The democrats have Hillary Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama who are even less stellar than McCain.

Of course, the dem candidates carry the historic credentials of being the first woman or first black man to be the presidential candidate. These credentials have given the dem candidates an exuberant following. Unfortunately, a historic precedent is all either candidate has to offer. The ability to be Commander-in-Chief and the ability to run the Country are not in the Clinton or Obama resumes.

Is McCain any better? Well, the rap against him is "he's not conservative enough," a definition for which we find elusive. CSW simply finds him to be a wimp on: Guantanamo, Geneva Convention rules regarding terrorist prisoners, illegal immigration, social security to illegal immigrants, Abu Ghraib "torture," the economy, and the Bush tax cuts (although now he says he's for them).

We will support McCain as the best of the bad of the three candidates. We will hear the crackling of ice formation in Hades before we would vote for Clinton or Obama, not because of their historical attributes, but because of their total lack of qualifications. Mitt Romney was right when he said Hillary has never run anything such as a company or a government body. But, the one thing we know she'll run is..... from Iraq!!

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your attention and have a good evening.

The bar is open.

How do you see it?
