  • It is very hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that both Michigan and Florida wanted to vote early so bad they were willing to give up their delegates at convention in an elecation that everyone knew would be critical. It's not like they didn't know this was going to happen. Shame on them for telling their citizens, "your vote won't count, but we get to vote early!" Did they really think this was going to be a good idea? Total absurdity (is that even a word?). Just goes to show what we'll be in store for if the Dems get in the whitehouse...

Ed. Note: You are so right. The voters got the shaft here. The States were well aware of the consequences of an early election, but in their quest for more "relevance" the citizens got screwed.

  • Please. . give me a break, it sounds like you are feeling sorry for the Democratic party and voters in Flordia and Michigan. Why? They broke the rules and now they are paying the price. I don't blame anyone but the people in charge. In fact, Dean, holding to his guns on this point, is about the only thing the man as done right in my opinion. The Republican punished the same states for the same reasons, only differently by only allowing 50% of the delegates to be seated. I luv ya man, but on this one Coffeeshop is on the wrong side of the argument.

Ed. Note: You missed our point or perhaps it wasn't conveyed clearly. The DNC & the RNC deserve dweeb status. We do feel sorry for the voters because they were the pawns in this silly political game. Howard Dean might be holding to his guns, but it was his ignorant initial decision that caused all this mess. And the RNC was complicit!!
