There's a Bull's-eye on the Koran

What in the world could be so bad as to make a U.S. general say to Iraqi Sunni leaders, "I come before you here seeking your forgiveness. In the most humble manner, I look in your eyes today and I say, please forgive me and my soldiers."

The earth-shattering error for which this general was begging forgiveness from Sunni Muslims was a soldier using a Koran for target practice at a shooting range. No, the soldier didn't water board anyone, nor torture anyone, he didn't even behead anyone. It was a boneheaded show of frustration on the part of a young soldier frustrated with how this PC religious war is being conducted and what it's doing to him and his fellow soldiers.

Through the sickening display of political correctness, patronage and numerous other adjectives we could ascribe to General Jeffery Hammond's pitiful apology, the United States once again looked silly in this ill-run Iraqi war. We kowtowed and publicly indicted our entire military and nation through this mea culpa.

And not only was the above apology sickening, but it was reported by CNN that an American army officer, Colonel Ted Martin, kissed a Koran and presented it to Sunni tribal leaders saying, "I hope that you'll accept this humble gift." Pass me a barf bag, Betty. How much of this crap are we going to take?
