That's It, I'm Outta Here!!

I just watched another mea culpa from Barack H. Obama. These occurrences are becoming more and more frequent and indicate the absurdity of an Obama presidency.

Obama's resignation from Trinity United Church of Christ for the heroic reason of protecting the church from media scrutiny was shameful. The words of Reverend Jeremiah Wright (Comedian Jackie Mason's take) and Father Michael Pfegler (see Preacher Video) were divisive, racist, sexist, and anti-American albeit inconsequential to Obama. The words would be just cause for any normal American to leave the church posthaste. But Obama is no normal American. It took him 20 years to realize that hate speech was being disseminated from the Trinity pulpit.

Obama said the questionable sermons weren't given on the days he was in attendance and if they were he didn't hear them. Sure. For 20 years the white supremacy, anti-American hate filled diatribes were only recited in Obama's absence. Give me a break.

Even after hearing the despicable words of Wright and Pfegler, Obama declared this about leaving the church, "…this is not a decision I come to lightly. And frankly, it's one that I make with some sadness." Well cry me a river. You should have been as quick to leave the church as you are about bashing Bush every day, you phony.

Let's be honest. Obama left the church not because of the sinful speech he "never heard" but because the radical preachers were becoming albatrosses to his political campaign. So, for political expediency and nothing else, he decided to pack up his family and find a new congregation with whom not to hear the sermons.

In another pitiful moment Obama said, "I'm not denouncing the church and I'm not interested in people who want me to denounce the church." He claimed the new pastor of Trinity, Reverend Otis Moss, and the church itself "…. have been suffering from the attention my campaign has focused on them." Yes, I'm sure the focus had nothing to do with them; it was all about you. What a joke!

A man afraid to honestly and sincerely rebuke the hate filled words of Wright, Pfegler, Farrakhan et al either hasn't the cajones to do it or finds nothing wrong with the words to rebuke. If that doesn't give you chills and reason to pause, the democratic party is where you belong.

All Obama would have had to say when this story first broke was "That's it, I'm outta here!!" Even I would have applauded that, although somewhat quietly.
