SCOTUS- A Childs Rape Isn't That Bad
If a man raped your six year old daughter/son, wouldn't you feel like killing him? Most if not all of us would answer yes. All but the Supreme Court of the United States that is (SCOTUS).
The court feels death to child rapists does not fit the crime. In a 5-4 decision along strict liberal-conservative lines, the liberal Justices Anthony M. Kennedy, John Paul Stevens, David H. Souter, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer concluded that death would be cruel and unusual punishment for the rape of a child under the age of 12. Conservative Justices Samuel Alito, Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas and Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. dissented and said if a State wants the death penalty for this crime, they should be allowed to have it. CSW agrees. It is our opinion that the court overstepped its bounds in this case and came to a terrible and dangerous conclusion.
John McCain and Barack Obama both disagreed with the Court's liberal decision. However, if Barack H. Obama is elected president he will appoint left leaning, liberal judges to replace those liberal Supreme Court justices who will be retiring soon. McCain, on the other hand, would appoint more conservative justices.
There Goes The Neighborhood, Literally
Remember the other stupid SCOTUS decision (among many) called the Kelo decision? That was the eminent domain ruling where the court said it's okay for a city to take your home and give it to a private concern to build condos, malls, office buildings and such. Ever wonder what happened to the Kelo's house that was taken? An interesting development. See the house here Kelo decision
Imus In The Morning
On Monday 6/23, radio host Don Imus asked his sports announcer this question about an NFL player, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam Jones, who got into trouble for the sixth time, "What color is he?"
The announcer replied that he is African-American. "There you go. Now we know," answered Imus. Well, the world nearly came to an end. The Black community and sympathetic whites thought this was an example of the perceived rampant racism going on in America. There was no turning back. White America stepped to the brink of hell. The Blacks had been denigrated again.
In fact, Imus said he was commenting that Blacks are being singled out for arrests. On Tuesday's program Imus tried to clarify his remarks. "What people should be outraged about is that they arrest blacks for no reason. I mean, there's no reason to arrest this kid six times. Maybe he did something once, but everyone does something once."
Uhhh, okay. Regardless of his intent, what's the big deal? It's the eggshell syndrome we are experiencing now that Obama is running for president. That's the big deal. People are afraid to put black pepper on their salad for fear of being labeled a racist. We're not going to say, "We told you so."
A "Race" He Can Win
Barack Obama is getting tired of waiting for Republicans to bring up race in the campaign. So, he decided to beat them to it. In a speech in Jacksonville, Florida last Friday 6/20/08, Obama said this, "It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy. We know what kind of campaign they're going to run. They're going to try to make you afraid. They're going to try to make you afraid of me. He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?"
Way to go you moron. We said it last week that this guy is a kid wearing his daddy's suit. He's a jerk. But the kids love him. They can relate. God help us!
'Scuse Me, You're In My Picture
Last week (Faces for Radio, Not TV) we talked about Obama not wanting Muslim women in his TV shot. It turns out that black Muslim congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) chided Obama into calling the women personally to apologize. Ellison apparently convinced Obama that he needed the Muslim votes this fall and this would be a sweet mea culpa. Obama's not like other politicians, is he? What a jerk!!!
Will The Taxpayers Pay For Their Ignorance?
The mortgage loan bailout bill being considered today is nothing more than housing welfare. As far as we are concerned the mistakes made are not the public's responsibility. A lot of people find making house payments a chore at times, but as responsible adults they make them nonetheless.
This bill will bail out homeowners and lenders as well by guaranteeing any loan that gets refinanced with better terms for the borrower. If the borrower should later default, the government will pay off the mortgage. How sweet, how....how socialistic.
Countrywide, the country's leading mortgage lender and a leader in defaulted loans, was bought by Bank of America which stands to get billions in bailout money.
And as reported in the Rocky Mountain News and in CSW last week (Hey, Nancy!), "In recent years Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd, D-Conn., and Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad, D-N.D., received massively discounted mortgages from Countrywide that weren't available to customers who didn't have connections." These two are pushing this bill like druggies pushin' dope. Does coercion or quid pro quo come to mind?
Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your attention and have a good evening.

How do you see it?
