And the people say…………….

Obama won't flip-flop, he will continue to "Refine" his policies

Nah, Obama doesn't flip/flop. There's a new phrase in town. He will "continue to refine" his policies. Sounds so political we could barf. Hey, Betty, bring the bags. So far Obama has "refined" his stance on FISA wiretaps, trade policy, gun laws, campaign funding, and the most dramatic, his Iraq war withdrawal plans.

Who is this guy? We don't know. Nobody does. He is described by the adjectives: big ears, empty suit, phony, the "change" candidate, eloquent, articulate, good speaker, handsome (hurry with the bags, Betty), inexperienced, all of which are true but not definitive of a president. Granted, some are "nice to haves" but where is he on the important things? Does it depend on what day it is?

Americans, grabbing for the brass ring, will vote for him believing in his rhetoric of Camelot in the near, jobs for all, higher wages, lower prices, healthcare for all, peacetime through negotiations with un-negotiable rogues, and politics not as usual. However, by making these very proposals he becomes "politics as usual."

POW……..Big Deal!!!!!!!

Randy Beers, Wesley Clark, Bill Clinton, Obama surrogates all, are dissing McCain's POW record as inconsequential to the presidency. Bill Clinton inferred that at any second McCain could "snap" because of his prisoner of war experience.

CSW doesn't think P.O.W. status is a prerequisite for the presidency nor a help to running the country. Having said that, to minimize the experience and summarily dismiss it is just plain stupid and the democrats are not short on stupid.

Bill Clinton wearing his psychiatrist hat and pretending to be talking about Nelson Mandela's imprisonment - "It’s just like if you know anybody who’s ever been a POW for any length of time, you will see you go along for months or maybe even years, and then something will happen and it will trigger all those bad dreams and they will come back, and it may not last 30 seconds." An accidental veiled reference to John McCain? We think not! It was not accidental.

General Wesley Clark on Face The Nation (video) - "That large squadron in the Navy that he [McCain] commanded, that wasn't a wartime squadron. He hasn't been there and ordered the bombs to fall. He hasn't seen what it's like when diplomats come in and say, I don't know whether we're going to be able to get this point through or not. Do you want to take the risk? What about your reputation? How do we handle it publicly? He hasn't made those calls, Bob." (Bob Schieffer, is host of Face The Nation)

The general further stated, "I don’t think getting in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to become president." (See Obama's qualifiers)

Randy Beers on McCain being held captive for five and a half years, therefore not being aware of what was going on with the Vietnam war - "So I think to some extent his national security experience in that regard is sadly limited and I think it is reflected in some of the ways that he thinks about how U.S. forces might be committed to conflicts around the world." HuuuuuuuuuuuuH???????????

John "I've got a plan" Kerry, on Face The Nation 7/06/08, blasted McCain on everything. Remember, Kerry wanted McCain for his VP back in 2004. (FTN video) - "John McCain has proven that he has been wrong about every judgment he's made about the war. Wrong about the Iraqis paying for the reconstruction, wrong about whether or not the oil would pay for it, wrong about Sunni and Shia violence through the years, wrong about the willingness of the Iraqis to stand up for themselves."

When he turned down your VP position, Johnny boy, he wasn't wrong about you!! And excuse us for bringing it up, but McCain has been proven right "about every judgment he's made about the war."

From the Rasmussen Polls (click for more)

  • SCOTUS rulings - Just 26% gave the Justices good or excellent marks for their work, down from 31% two weeks ago and 41% a month ago.
  • Eight-out-of-ten (80%) Americans say that buying a home is still a good investment for just about everybody.
  • 49% of Americans believe that the federal government should regulate the Internet the same way it does radio and television.
  • Energy remains a hot topic in Election 2008. Most voters think there’s a chance gas prices will top $5 a gallon this year. Only about a third believes prices will top $6 a gallon or fall below $4 again.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your attention and have a good evening.

The bar is open.

How do you see it?
