Palin/McCain 2008
Take Sarah Palin, the consummate breath of fresh air Washington needs, add in all of the 2008 Republican presidential candidates as cabinet members/personal advisors (yes, including Ron Paul who, as I remember, had one or two good ideas) and you would have an unprecedented, unbeatable administration. Last Thursday's (10/02/08) VP debate was refreshing to say the least and put to rest any fears and doubts I had about Palin's qualifications. Oh yeah, I was anxious and doubtful Sarah Palin could pull it off, but she did and in excellent fashion!
As for smartass Joe Biden, he appeared as confident as any 3 and a half decade Washington insider should be even though his beliefs are twisted. As a democratic liberal insider, Biden demonstrated the habitual George Bush hatred as Biden kept bashing Bush over and over again. It was disgusting, immature, and downright childish; a manifestation of what an Obama administration would be like. He also made numerous factual errors about Hamas, Jordan, the Constitution, vice-presidential duties and others.
If it should come to pass, and God help us if it does, that America loses its senses on November 4th and elects Obama/Biden, mark my words that the Obama/Biden team, being weak of character, will blame any and all problems they encounter on the Bush administration. The democrats have been doing it for more than seven years. That's their modus operandi, i.e. no solutions, just blame. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the huge mortgage loan providers, are two perfect examples.
Now that I opined about Palin and Biden, let me say this about McCain. He should take a lesson from his running mate. Stop being such a wimp! Granted, McCain is not the orator that Obama is or even Biden, but please get off this nice guy kick. It's unbecoming of a leader. Act tough, get tough, and follow through!! You're carrying the banner for all American Republicans so stop turning the other cheek and strike back.
Do I sound upset? You're damn right! McCain talked tough about the war and now huddles in the corner afraid to upset someone. Be presidential, not just tailored suits like your competitors! America can ill afford an Obama presidency so get off your ass, McCain, and show us that you have the cojones to be president!! Just do it. Make it happen!
How do you see it?
