CSW 08-23
# 1 Re: 08-22 Evil Knows No Gender
Hi Don!
I inadvertently deleted (gasp!) the lastest issue of CSW before replying. However, I did want to point out the absolute hypocrisy of the left in their viciousness and sexism with regard to Governor Sarah Palin. They can claim all day long that they are justified based upon her "lack of experience," but it has everything to do with the fact that she is a conservative woman - two strikes.
To the left, any conservative is fair game and no low is too low when aimed at a conservative. However, when it comes to a conservative woman, or conservative black, or conservative gay, it is even worse because these are members of the left's protected groups. These are the left's historical victims, and once any of their victims crosses the aisle, he or she is a traitor. The vitriol gets ramped up to unprecedented levels.
Add to this the very real possibility that this conservative woman, the breath of fresh air that we conservatives have been literally dying for, will crush their chosen one in the election. This election should have been a walk in the park for the democrats. George Bush is not a popular president, and we have had eight years of a republican in the White House. Historically speaking, if not simply due to the mood of the country, the democrats should have this thing in the bag. However, they royally screwed it up for themselves by choosing someone so unelectable. They grossly underestimate the public's ability to distinguish between healthy change and total destruction of our capitalistic and democratic society by choosing Obama.
To make matters worse for conservatives, the media have been engineering this whole thing from the get-go which is why we ended up with McCain as our candidate long before many voters - we Ohio voters included - even had a choice. John McCain is an honorable person and this is his saving grace. I truly believe they could dig all day and won't find anything on him, which is why we hear nothing at all. They are never going to report the good stuff, like how about his wonderful wife? Have we heard ANYTHING about her and all of the humanitarian work she has done and continues to do????
John McCain must be congratulated however for his awesome, awesome choice of Sarah Palin as a running mate. It was a courageous move and a great decision. I am thrilled and personally believe we are going to mop the floor with the liberals this November. On the other hand, I am truly concerned about the impending fraud which I am certain will interfere. That, however, is another letter.
Thanks so much for your good work and I'll talk to you again soon.

Mr. Skeeles:
Relax! To understand John McCain's temperment, or the lack there of, is to understand the process of political posturing. Like you, I too am somewhat dismayed by this lack of urgency by Senator McCain to let loose the attack dog mentality and rip to shred Barack Obama, his associations and his political agenda. Then I was reminded, having worked a number of Congressional political campaigns myself, I was schooled in the fine art of political theater. That is, to say, that probably a week to ten days out from the presidential election, McCain and/or his handlers will unleash the hounds of hell, so to speak, against the Obama campaign. Im already beginning to see the effects of some of McCains campaign ads of late.
Dont put too much stock and trade in the plethora of polls out there either. I start to question the authenticity of most, if not all, of these polls when the spread between each one runs from 6-15 points. Frankly speaking, I dont trust a damned one of them. Especially knowing, as I do, that a majority of these polls are a media device and tool to shape public opinion, which you and I both know is precisely what theyre intended to do in the first place!
Now, I consider myself a pretty good gambler, of sorts, and Im reasonably comfortable that Senator McCain and Governor Palin will win this election. I could be wrong, but my gut instincts (usually reliable) tell me they'll win. Not big mind you, but they'll win!
With respect to ACORN, Im hearing conflicting reports, so I would like to defer comment until I learn more about Obamas ties to ACORN. Generally speaking, this appears to fall under that guise of birds of a feather genre. Knowing that ACORN is currently the media darling, Im anxious to see how this issue shakes down. At any rate, hang in there!

Could it be that John McCain is trying not to get vicious so as not to fall into the Dems trap of him having a really bad temper and thereby loosing the race? Well well, he's going to loose it if he doesn't... so in my opinion he better start showing us that he does have the balls to be president. Does this sound like someone else we talked about before the surge? Oh yes, G.W. Bush.
Remember all the comments about him [Bush] just pussy footing around and trying to be politically correct in Iraq instead of having the balls to get the job done?!! Well John McCain says talk softly and carry a big stick, and that's all well and good but he also must be capable of using that big stick when it is called for and now is the time.
I don't know whether blasting Ali-obama with all of his bad judgment in who he has been associated with will work being that those that believe it are already not going to vote for him. So he had better start talking about and taking aim at Ali-obama on the issues that he believes in and wants to do.
When Ali-obama brings up all this talk about how he [McCain] is going to be just like Bush, John McCain had better be prepared to stand up and fight for himself, unless of course he will be [like Bush].
The problem is we have heard very little about what the McCain presidency will be or do. McCain is spending way too much time just talking about Ali-obama and what he stands for!! If John McCain doesn't get elected it won't be because Obama beat him, in my opinion, he will have defeated himself.
That's my 2 cents worth.
