Obama Gets "…ationed"

Was it an ordination, a coronation, an inauguration, or a tacit condemnation of President Bush? If your eyes and ears were with the crowds, it was hard to determine. Pro Obama attendees were screaming, singing, chanting and crying, almost hysterically at times. Then the crowd booed when George and Laura Bush were introduced. Of course, not all of the estimated 2 million in attendance booed the former President and First Lady, but one was one too many. The boos emanated from the lowest form of humanity in attendance. I will refrain making comments on the crowd's demographic makeup, but it was quite evident some lacked the social mores required to be Americans. Tough statements? Damn right and I mean every word.

Barack Obama's inaugural speech was received by non-attendees as bland, flowery, inspiring to a few, and just so-so to most. And to satisfy the Bush hate mongers, there were a few parting shots about the Bush administration. We're going to be better, we're finally going to do things legally, you have been waiting for us, your savior has arrived, seemed to be the theme running throughout the speech.

When Obama awakes on his first few mornings in office and gets the top secret security briefing and the status of the myriad of other problems facing our country and the world, the glibness he's expressed in the past will rapidly fade. Hopefully, the enormity of his responsibility will be realized. He is now THE PRESIDENT. Will he blame his missteps on President Bush? We'll see! If Obama doesn't, Biden will.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your attention and have a good evening.

The bar is open.

How do you see it?
