For What It's Worth

An opinion from the editor's desk

Goodbye, Mr. President...Hello, Newman!

In the last seven years, no shopping mall was bombed, no school was held hostage by terrorist girly men. Many terrorist attempts to attack the U.S.A. were thwarted. In and of themselves those facts speak volumes about the courage, perspicacity, and patriotism of President George W. Bush. I salute you Mr. President for an overall job well done in spite of what the wacko left says.

However, not all my critical comments were kudos. CSW got on the President's case regarding the manner in which the Iraq war was being waged. Political correctness has no place on the battlefield or in battle plans. Yet, Muslims were handled with kid gloves even though our soldiers were being tortured and beheaded by radicals of the Islamic persuasion. It is my humble opinion that the war could have ended months and months ago saving hundreds upon hundreds of lives had the military had its way.

The Presidents immigration plans were motivated by political correctness. They were terrible.

Also, the bailout was a huge Bush mistake. Retribution including monetary damages and prison time for CEOs and others responsible for the financial meltdown would have been better than handing over what may be over a trillion dollars to these clowns. And with virtually no stipulations or oversight as to what the money is to be used for, it's a disaster waiting to happen. Things including parties, bonuses, millions of dollars to the Obama inaugural kitty, and numerous other frivolous niceties the financial institutions and auto manufacturers see fit, are not what Americans want their tax money used for. Appalling!!

Obama asked President Bush to release another $350 billion so he, Obama, can have money on-the-ready to dole out. President Bush wrongly obliged and released the funds. See, now Obama can blame the Bush administration for an even bigger deficit because Bush asked for the money, not Obama.

But hey, CSW will give Obama a chance. But if there is the slightest hiccup, Obama can expect from us exactly what the dems, the left, the liberals gave to President Bush i.e. not a ghost's chance of forgiveness, nor a snowball's chance in hell, nor a glimmer of understanding, nor an otherwise civil rationale for any of his actions…….good, bad, or indifferent!!! I wish Obama well.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your attention and have a good evening.

The bar is open.

How do you see it?
