In a secretive, deceitful, sneaky way, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) wrote into the "stimulus" bill $8 billion for a midnight train to Georgia, er rather, Los Angeles.
Wow! An $8 billion stipend for a train to run from Disneyland in Los Angeles, California (Nancy Pelosi's state), to Las Vegas, Nevada (Harry Reid's state). Rumor has it that this porker appropriation was handwritten by Reid and placed under a category of "other expenditures" to further hide its outrageousness.
Shakespeare said, "A STUP is a STUP by any other name." Well, maybe not, but that's close enough.
