Arnies Final Masters at Augusta National 4/09/04
A Fifty-Year Tribute To The Man
Arnies Walk
Ive walked beneath the tall pines of Augusta.
Ive marveled at her beauty and her pride.
But on this final day my heart is saddened
While to the eighteenth green I humbly stride.
Although .. Ill never say.. goodbye forever,
I know this day will never come again.
And I hear the Lady speak, she whispers softly,
I will always be here for you my old friend.

9/11 - I have a big question for any of you out there and I hope you have an answer. I am giving you an e-mail address to use for your reply. COFFEESHOPWEEKLY@NEO.RR.COM.
I am a pilot, as some of you know, and I have had this burning question for a couple of years and I cant seem to find the answer. The so-called facts: the 9/11 skyjackers were student pilots. They didnt want to learn how to takeoff or land a plane, just fly in the air. The date of 9/11 was a pre-ordained date or at least some have claimed. The terrorists took over these big jets and they flew them into the buildings.
Now I submit to you as a pilot, had 9/11/2001 been overcast, stormy or otherwise difficult to see where you were going, these animals could not have pulled this off. Flying an airplane in visual meteorological conditions is hard enough. But for these jokers to be flying in instrument meteorological conditions?, not a chance!! Instrument meteorological conditions means flying these planes by instruments in the cockpit because you cant see anything outside. Therefore, 9/11 had to be just one of several dates the terrorists selected and 9/11 turned out to be a beautiful, sunny fall day. You could see forever. As a matter of fact I submit there wasnt a date selected at all, just a weather forecast. Now my question is this: Has anyone heard of this scenario and was it questioned by the powers? All I can find is that some countries intelligence heard chatter indicating 9/11 as a date for something to happen and Im saying that 9/11 could not have been a date cast in stone. Trivial perhaps. But something is rotten in Denmark. Think about it, dont fagedaboudit.

I am sure our infamous 9/11 commission has already pondered the above scenario, determined the good weather to be the fault of the President and therefore concluded that 9/11 could have and should have been prevented. What did Bush know about the weather and when did he know it? Richard Clarke said he warned the Bush administration about the pending weather and was denied a meeting and further stated that Condi Rice didnt seem to know what weather was. Im telling you, we were asleep at the wheel. Seriously folks, my question stands.
Last week I mentioned about how Americans are a forgiving bunch, a stupid bunch or a forgetful bunch. My sis KK sent this to me and Ill pass it on. http://members.cox.net/classicweb/email.htm Excellent!! Maybe it will help jog the gray matter.
More troops in Iraq? Our unscientific survey said:
No 22 YES 18. Most of the doves were from the coffee shop, the hawks from the bar stool. Surprising. One lady said our troops are to protect America, not to die for Iraq. Lady, ask the New Yorkers. Iraq is part of it as is Iran, Syria, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia (ally?) and probably Egypt and Jordan. My prediction: If we dont show force with our technology and more manpower wherever the source, we are going to be in big trouble, shortly. Islam and WW3? Perhaps. Bush may not be in as much trouble for what hes doing as for what hes not doing. Americans are an impatient bunch. Could that lady be right? Have we lost sight of the fact we invaded Iraq to fight terrorism, remove Saddam and find WMD? It certainly was not to impose democracy on a people not willing to die themselves for a democracy. Could an Iraqi civil war be good for them? After all, we fought the British, the Spaniards, Mexico and even ourselves to get or maintain our freedom and democracy. Democracy isnt a cure all. Its not going to fit in certain cultures and a tribal culture like Iraq is one of them.
