PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE II

CSW and the People Comment

Dateline St. Louis, Mo CSW 10/08/04

CSW will call it a draw. President Bush was much, much better than the first try. When Mr. Bush fights back, Kerry kowtows. That’s because he’s too rehearsed, too rote in his responses. He studies what he perceives are this administration’s mistakes and answers his questions with those pat responses. We don’t want him in the Oval Office. He doesn’t think on his feet. He is always blaming someone, no original or worthwhile ideas.

How many times do we have to hear, “I’ve got a plan.”? Hey Kerry! What the h--- is your “plan?” Why is it such a secret? We think we know.

The people speak:

“Can John Kerry ever answer a question? His “answers” are nothing more than what he thinks President Bush did wrong. It was sickening.”

“I still know nothing about Kerry. He talks nice, has nice hair, but can he be tough on terrorists?”

“Every single time, John Kerry would start an answer with, “this administration…” and then go on a tirade about Bush. Doesn’t he have his own answers?”

“The misleading comments and innuendos of the democrats really make me wonder if they’re capable or deserving of the White House.”

“John Kerry believes that if you are rich you should buy my insurance for me. No thank you. Why should the rich pay anything for me? I’ll do my share. That’s the American capitalistic, non-socialistic, socio-economic class way.”

“Once again Bush went too easy on Kerry. Kerry can be had on his lies and flip-flops. Did you catch Kerry’s surprise and sheepish grin when Bush would jump up and be forceful? Kerry looked frightened.”

“Charlie Gibson (the moderator) did a very good job. Next debate with CBS? Who knows?”

“Bush 41 had a strong multi national coalition and U.N. support for the first Gulf war. Kerry voted against it! Why? It was never asked. A madman invaded a defenseless country and Kerry voted against helping out. What was he waiting for? The French champagne to chill, his hair to be done, his nails to dry? What?”

MAY WE SPECULATE ON SOMETHING?

The emesis of democratic party politics

Dateline Uniontown, Oh CSW 10/08/04

John Kerry and John Boy Edwards have been hammering this job outsourcing nonsense for months. The uninformed blame Bush. They don’t know any better. Below is a quote from John Kerry.

“If a company is trying to choose between building a factory in Michigan or Malaysia, our tax code actually encourages it to locate in Asia.” That is a quote from an article Kerry wrote for The Wall Street Journal.

And it is true. That is because of a long-established policy known as deferrals. A factory in Michigan gets taxed at the standard U.S. corporate tax rate. A U.S. factory in Malaysia gets taxed by Malaysia, but not by the United States until the profits enter the country. Kerry says, blame it on Bush. Bush had nothing to do with it. It’s the tax code, stupid. Fix it. Stop whining.

Now for the “what if scenario.” Can you imagine the caustic Kerry rhetoric if the Bush administration had closed this “loophole” to favor U.S. corporations? Incentives would have to be given these corporations, otherwise why stay here? Regardless of the end result or honest good intentions, Kerry and his gang would have gone ballistic and the liberal media would have headlined, “Bush Has Bias for Big Business, Bush Favors Big Corporations, Bush Gives Tax Breaks to Big Business, Middle Class Loses Again, etc. etc. etc.” These dems are such hypocritical STUPS. Instead of manicures and coiffures, why doesn’t Kerry do something about it in the Senate?

Do foreign companies outsource to America? Rhetorical. You know the answer.

A couple of facts:

  • Honda employs more than 126,000 Americans
  • 26,000 plant employees, 100,000 in dealerships positions.

  • Toyota employs thousands of Americans

University of Michigan determined that for every direct manufacturing job Toyota creates, more than 5.5 spin-off jobs are created in related industries.

  • Nissan has supplied thousands of jobs.
  • And there are hundreds more foreign companies and tens of thousands in jobs.

The point is, other countries outsource. It’s just what businesses do. What do you want Bush to do? Kick all foreign companies out and bring ours back? Now that is stupid. It would be break even at best and trigger isolationism.

So Kerry, get off the smoke screen and get to your plan. America anxiously awaits it, as does the emesis basin.
