And the people say .
The results are in. Interestingly, this years voting for STUP had twice as many votes as PERSPI. How we love those STUPS.
PERSPI top 3 vote getters in random order:
- President Bush
- 2004 Voters
- WWII Vets
STUP top 3 vote getters in random order:
- John Kerry
- Al Gore
- CBS/Dan Rather
The envelope please.
And the winners are:
2004 PERSPI of the Year -
The 2004 Voters
- For having the perspicacity to defeat John Kerry. (Read the story)
2004 STUP of the Year - CBS/Dan Rather
"The responsibility for the beheading of Nick Berg rests squarely on the shoulders of those who took the pictures in Abu Ghraib prison, the CBS TV network and the producers of the 60 Minutes II program for publicly showing them." (Read entire story) "This weeks Stup award is shared by Dan Rather and the CBS network's '60 Minutes II' for their super coverage of the phony document scandal. Oh, wait a minute. They are the scandal." (Read entire story)
For a John Kerry vote, these comments - It's a sad commentary on the American people when that many million voted for a pseudo war hero. Who received a less than honorable discharge and had no respect from either his subordinates or superiors that served with him in the military. He said that he would be quick to defend AMERICA then he said he wouldn't take any military action without first checking with our "allies". He'd be considered a traitor by anybody but a liberal.
We had write-in STUPS, also. Katie Couric and Arlen Specter were two of them.
For Katie Couric - "I think perhaps Katie Curic..... she is such a kerry lover.... The look on her face when kerry lost, was so priceless.... better then the MasterCard ad "
For Arlen Specter - His Supreme Court judiciary comments apparently warning President Bush not to select Supreme Court nominees who oppose abortion rights were not appreciated by the conservative right.
Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your attention and have a good evening.
The bar is open.
How do you see it?
